The issue with tanning products (the fuck..emerald bay?)

 Heyaa Bunnies!
This post is going to be more of a rant I guess LOL
Those who follow me on twitter must have already read it.

I hate the marketing of tanning products.
They have the most gorgeous packaging ever, the best lotions and are amazing in achieving result...
but they just can't sell them correctly!!

That's why when I opened my tanning products section made my own terms to deal with the problems..

I wanted to make it easier for people who search for good products.
You can literally search products by the colour of the star and addition to that, I also wrote a whole post about how to use each products from a category.

That also means, that I need to make sure to categorize it correctly.
Which I never really had problems with...until I met Emerald Bay by California Tan.

before I start ranting, I want to say at this point: the best in describing their products is The Fox Tan.
I didn't write a review about these products yet but I think they are overall very good (especially in the sun), so check the website out. They explain what to use, when to use and how to use. Thank you!!
This is how it's supposed to be done!!!

These are the products I own and use at the time...

When I bought them, I didn't find any description how to use, however tried to orientate with the terms on the packaging which are misleading as well.

The "Definitely Black" is described at the bottom as "Dark tanning lotion".
It also says in the back "Apply prior indoor/outdoor tanning"...

So this is a tan accelerator. I used it as such. It works amazing and I also prepared my review about it.

However the other two are still confusing me.

In the back it says "Consult a professional salon for directions on use".
Why? Why YOU don't tell me?

In the bottom both say "Professional Salon Lotion", so I thought they are body lotions with bronzer.

I followed the instructions and consulted a professional salon.

They confuse me even more now.
So here is the thing:

She (the staff) went to the back and came back with a whole folder of documents, started looking through it and took out the part with emerald bay.

She told me, the "Definitely Black" is AFTER using in the sun, especially because it says "Repair" at the packaging. She showed me in her documents.

This makes no sense to me.

I had to take a english dictionary to look up if I am not went crazy and "prior" definitely means "before".

I do think, those who made her documents might be not the best in english. I have used it as an accelerator. It works as an accelerator. It must be one!!
She also agreed with me on "Black Emerald".

It says "hydrate" on the packaging. It says "Professional Salon Lotion" on the packaging.
And it says so in her documents.

So Black Emerald is a lotion with bronzer to use i.e. after showering.

Even though one website selling the products, described it as an accelerator...but I also noticed, they wrote that under every single product, so that website must have written these instructions as some kind of standard foot note for every product.
She said "Choco-Latta-Love" is a tanning accelerator.

Which is indeed surprising to me...in fact I also used as a simple lotion now.
I will try it today as an accelerator and watch if it works out as one.

However the staff also asked me to bring the products with me today.

I looked up wether or not emerald bay has an official website.

They do but it seems like they do not sell these products anymore (however I find them plenty online, what?).

They changed the packaging. Choco-Latta-Love and Black Emerald doesn't exist anymore.
But I found Definitely Black.

By the way the new packaging is ugly af.

It says on the website as well: "indoor/outdoor usage".
But now it also says on the packaging "Professional Salon Lotion" like the other two lotions before.

What do you think? Have you used any of these products or consulted your salon about it?
What did they say?

Well, I am not going to publish my reviews about these products if I don't even know how to use them properly lol. I am a 100% certain Definitely Black is an accelerator.
I also am 100% sure the Black Emerald is a lotion.
Now, I will test Choco-Latta-Love as an accelerator and also will see what the staff says.
It worked out perfectly as a lotion before.

I wish the tanning market would make descriptions of their products better.
