My dad removed my kitchen today..now I don't even have the sink to use anymore.
In the next couple weeks my new kitchen will arrive at work so I can get it delivered to my apartment.
I am so excited <3
We still have to rip out some tiles..I don't think we have to refresh the tapestry because I will probably close the upper part of my wall from the kitchen but we will see.
I did a salad for me and my mum again.
She still had some cheeseballs left that she made herself for lunch, so I made the salad with tomato, rucola, eggs and ham.
I also added some nuts and fried onions on top.
For tonight I did not quite know what to do...
I crocheted my top again after lunch and finished the first panel but I did not feel like continuing and also did not have the mental energy to read a book again.
So when I opened X the first post I saw was from Maye Musk commenting on a new Passionflix movie.
I always wanted to try so why not today?
I usually don't watch movies so I registered and only got the day "ticket" to watch the movie "a lover's vow".
I have mixed feelings about this, so I don't know how to put it right but I try.
First thing: I am sad they don't offer english subtitles!
I prefer to watch movies and shows in their original language and if I can't speak the language I just read the translation BUT I do understand english and having german subtitles while listening to english confuses the heck out of me.
I often have issues understanding some words depending on if the actor has a thick accent or the audio is not clear enough and like having english subtitles as a support.
This resulted in me often not understanding what they said and I couldn't properly follow the story.
The second thing is the plot was not it tbh.
Maybe it is because like I said I don't really like movies but I feel like they tried to really push the story into this 1.5 hours and rushed it.
It was less passion than expected, the story was mostly just them solving the murder. The only passion was them f*cking every now and then for like a couple seconds, which I also hate in movies. That's why I dislike watching american movies at all.
They can never make something without sex scenes.
All I know about this couple is, they hated each other in the beginning and then had a drink together and started f*cking. Their connection had no depth.
And they wanna marry in the end?
So again, passion was almost zero.
Romance plot zero.
The rest of the story very hard to follow for me.
The couple scenes in the beginning were quite funny but that was it after that.
Beside this I think the movie is well made regarding location, outfits, angles etc.
I liked that the people looked...well, like people.
They did not have this fake hollywood appearance which made it more comfortable watching it.
I might have picked the wrong movie so I think I give passionflix another try sometime.
I just think it is really really difficult to make short movies out of books and most romance books nowadays don't have interesting plots either.
If however you are into that kind of stuff I can recommend to try passionflix sometime.
As a little comparison, here are two movies I liked a lot:
The Classic (2003)
This is like my favourite romance movie of all time and I have rewatched it like 3-4 times already despite not watching movies often so to me that's a lot.
The story is interesting, it has funny scenes but also deep and interesting topics.
I don't want to spoiler too much but this movie actually made me cry.
My Sassy Girl (2001)
This movie is like so brutally funny and it also kinda relax me a bit because she reminds me a lot of myself tbh.
When I like people I can get really rude and tyrannical so I often worry that guys misinterpret this and get "sick" of it. I guess it is also kind of karma that I don't have luck with guys because of this (and of course because of many other reasons but ya).
Watching their relationship evolve uplifted me.
So yes, I think it depends a lot on what kind of movies I am used to watch and enjoy and the goal of passionflix to turn books into movies which is quite a difficult task as well.
but enough of that haha.
I might continue crocheting my top a little bit because it is still very early at night (at least to what I am used to lolololol).
I am still wide awake but don't wanna do anything, not even being on the phone so yaa...tough.
