Heyaa Bunnies!
Thank you sm for the good review on my last post....the view report skyrocketed for this specific post, even tho it was just a casual thing...I don't really want to make huge posts on how to be gyaru etc. because I am still working on my hime academy, which has all of that...
I am considering publishing it earlier... I wanted to not publish it until it's 100% done but it takes so long and I feel like rn there are a lot of beginners where my academy would come handy for learning... I want to be as detailed as possible, I sometimes read my own posts 2-3 times and still find stuff I forgot to mention...
Even tho the academy is oriented towards hime gyaru...A LOT of it is very useful for all sorts of GAL.
I recently saw the 30-day gyaru challenge from Lizzie and now I wanna do it.
DAY1 : When did you start gyaru? To be honest, this is VERY difficult to answer for me...because I did and didn't "start" gyaru...
The first time I heard about gyaru was when I was 13/14 maybe...I wasn't into it and I also didn't consider myself gyaru but I started using the makeup techniques of it..
I was heavily into that Bimbo/Barbie/Y2k-typa look, which has tons of similiarties with gyaru...which I didn't know back then. Since I wasn't rly into gyaru, I didn't research much and thought gyaru is himekaji only...and tbh himekaji and that barbie-look...don't have many similirarites...
When I was 16 I dyed my hair blonde (and FAILED, u jsut can't see cuz I already used filters and was a top catfish back then)..It was also the time I had my first colored lenses.
I was wearing lenses since I am 14..but those were my first colored ones.

I am not wearing circle lenses here and still I think this looks kinda gal, doesn't it? |
Now looking at these pics, I looked like a gyaru beginner...without realising it LOL.
However I actually started researching gyaru when I was about 17...
I was into agejo back then...and gosh I wish I still had the pics.
I did quite some good coords with no brands back then..
I wasn't allowed to buy stuff online, especially from overseas...since my mum didn't wanna have to pick up the stuff from customs.
(Now I am older and had a couple times my packages ending up in customs...I totally understand her now, It's a PAIN IN THE ASS).
When I quit high school and started working, I also started considering myself as gyaru...or you could say I decided I wanted to become one...I just never really did the research, which now I started to do.
IF YOU REMEMBER THESE PICS ON MY INSTAGRAM: THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN ME AND YOUR LOYALTY LOL.
I was into himekaji.. idk why my makeup looked that bad in the beginning, since I was quite advanced in makeup at that time already..
but didn't take long until I finally made up my mind and served some actual makeup skills..
The problem I had back then was, that I usually only did makeup at home and didn't wear it outside...so I felt weird wearing gyaru makeup outside...and rarely did...and if I did, it was only natural makes..
It took me some time to get comfy wearing makeup outside...it was a challenge but it worked out.
In fact, I actually focused more on nail art...I did new nails almost weekly...
LOOK AT HOW LONG MY NATURAL NAILS WERE BACK THEN!!!
AND MY WORK FORCED ME TO CUT THEM OFF..
They never looked like this again...
yup...I actually looked like this...
I soon started experimenting with other substyles and makeup techniques..
I think for two years....
two years just going back and forth, deleting my account and making a new one..etc.
I am deeply sorry to everyone who is bearing my annoying ass.
I love you all xoxo
I first started sliding into agejo again...
I mean I only liked wearing dresses and if you don't buy Liz lisa dresses what else?
MAARSSS xD
I did have blonde hair at some point...for a reason I got rid of it..idk?
Also I used to wear only black before I got into gyaru and found this hoody in the store and thought of it as gal...and accidentally made a rokku-inspired coord!?
Not to mention the kuro/manba kind of makes that looked absolutely horrific...
I wouldn't say they were BAD..but god I look awful in it lol.
Tip-toeing into more kuro-typa looks I think...
as you can see I was still into nail art but made my own press-ons.
Since I was working 24/7 and had no friends to go out with...again I only was gyaru indoors and these nails never saw the light of outside..
After a year of gyaru journey I actually started managing weaing gyaru outside...
Here's a pic of me in holidays...I do have to admit I hated wearing gyaru makeup there bcuz it was soo hot and my skin was melting and my eyes burning bcuz of it.
BUT I WANTED TO BE UNDENIABLY GAL FOR THE SAKE OF IT.
Don't ask me what happened here during this time..I wore himekaji and my makes were basic af...I can't remember why I stopped giving efforts into my looks.
I mean, you should see the other pics..I looked like any other normie bitch with some falsies on.
Did I come back...into galmode???
maybe more girly???
I had high motivation in stepping up my game but I was just unsatisfied with everything idk...
Yes this wasn't intended to be a gyaru makeup but hell this is my absolutete favourite of everything I have done in my life...I will frame this make and put it everywhere...I want this make to be on my grave after I die. and it does look gyaru a lil bit.
forcing myself into the blonde wigs..cuz I just didn't feel gal enough again..
At this point it is just clear obvious I am going back and forth...
However, like I already said....I was never satisfied.
I think the turning point was when I had my first Boom: Hime gyaru
the progress was so much faster, bcuz I actually spent time on details..cuz I found a style that I really liked.
Well, and the rest of it ....you know what happened...
I still love hime gyaru...even though I don't actively wear it atm....
I think you always looked amazing! I remember a lot of these!♥ Loved to see all of this together!
