No, this won't be a tutorial or a history check...
I just felt like talking about some tricks I gathered over the years that make you look more gyaru as a gaijin beginner. This will be a quick post, because I have to go to a job interview later.
If you are gyaru or started gal and want to improve your look, consider these things and maybe experiment with them:
☆Trick 1: Give up your eyebrows☆
Most gals either have super thin brows or they are blonde.
If you want to look more gal, try shaving them off or bleaching them (be super careful about not getting bleach in your eyes).
Beside that, you could also use eyebrow mascara but if you have black eyebrow hairs, it's usually not good in covering up...
Take a look at most gyaru...even if they have dark hair, most have blonde eyebrows...some are almost invisible.
☆Trick 2: No gyaru hair? more focus on makeup☆
Even if you have pinstraight black hair, you can still look gal without wearing brands by paying 100% attention to the makeup. The more dolly or extreme the better.
(I am not talking about substyles here, obviously it takes more than this for them)
☆Trick 3: Ditch the Aesthetique☆
Personally I think substyles should only be a help to identify a specific look, without having to use 100+ words to describe them. Instead these terms create a border around gals that are limiting their creativity.
Of course you can strive to be THAT gyaru, but it's more important to be gal also without it.
Take Sakurina as an example, she wore everything.
Almost any wardrobe can be gyaru, if you are gyaru.
It's cheaper and faster, if you focus on the other aspects of gyaru.
☆Trick 4: Glam instead of cute☆
A lot of gyaru fans and beginners first come from the kawaii-lifestyle...however, decora or harajuku street style are not great inspo when it comes to gyaru.
Gals actually got inspired heavily by western trends...
Gyaru, no-matter what substyle, fall more into glamourous stuff and define this as their "kawaii"-lifestyle.
☆Trick 5: Accessories☆
You could walk like a homeless, without any makeup whatsoever and still feel gal by having the extra spice.
Bag charms, phone straps, Shushus instead of normal hairties...you name it..
PS: unpopular opinion here...most gaijins would look more gyaru with a less heavier droop.

返信削除I actually do, It's rinmero0818....However I am rly bad at creating content over there lol..My other ig is bunnies.debunked for only hime gyaru content...even tho I don't consider myself hime anymore, I still like the style and want to continue posting about it...
