Gifts and polishes

 Heya!

So my brother and SiL are back from russia and they brought me some gifts..

Look at this cute cup!!

And some girly hair accessory💕

I finally swatched my gel polishes too..

This kind of map is so cool...now I just need to cover the numbers.

I also liked the idea of having a glossy and matte showing.

I done my nails today in the color you can see at nr. 007 and now I regret not making it matte.

I use matte top coat wayyy too rarely.

The gold looks really cool matte.

So I just finished a part of the course and guess what...the next sections won't be available for the next 4 days.

So this whole plan on finishing it within a week...blown.

But I am glad I chose the basic course, there are actually quite handy information as well.

My lash exte are almost completely out by now but I didn't have time to fill it up.

So I just stuck some clusters on again xD

I am curious if they hold like that cuz I used my other glue now but applied a bit differently.

It is drying way quicker with my fan and that helps a lot.

New haircolor with gloss

Heya!

So, didn't post the look.

The color is awesome..

(But stains the tub a lot)

Could you believe it was just a gloss?

Applied like a hairmask for just approx. 10 minutes and that's it.

Haven't washed it yet so idk how lasting it is but will keep up with you.

Also no pic of saturday (sorry)

Spent my sunday relaxing in the sun and in the whirlpool...which was a mistake, because it turned me sick :/

So I left work monday earlier and in the evening my covers broke (again).

They are super old, we are not surprised.

My dad fixed it last year with tape but it seems like the metal thing was stuck and didn't move and that's why it ripped in the first place.

Well anyway, he wants to switch it out and suggested a different kind like my neighbour has and that is actually a great idea.

We will see which option we choose.

I just started my online nail course and honestly it doesn't seem much, probably will be done in a week...IF...the internet keeps working.

But it stopped working on my laptop, so I just stopped for today...probably will just finish tomorrow. Idk why it acts so weird sometimes.

I also looked up something called japanese manicure. I didn't know this was a thing but I believe it will be very popular here in the area, so want to learn it and add it to my services after mastering gel and acrylic.

I am burned

Heyaa!

So since yesterday it was bad weather, I tried putting my soft locs in.

The parting was chefs kiss...I used gel this time, because the beads were as expected too small for the sections and it was really tight with the gel...should have done the braids like that lmao.

I regret not taking a picture of that sectioning.

I wasn't into it but told myself to "trust the process" and when I was done at midnight, I hated it.

It looked properly done, but it didn't suit me at all!!

I hated it so much, I took it out immediately after.

So today the weather was really great, way hotter than expected.

Spent all day in our garden and my day put up the whirlpool yesterday, so was able to relax <3

my mum took a paparazzi shot of me.

The tiny bun is diabolical.

I had to relax alone, my mum doesn't like water apparently (never knew actually but whatever), and my dad was still sick, so not a good idea to get into the water.

It was an amazing last day of holiday before having to go back to work tomorrow.

I definitely underestimated the heat...here is the aftermath lmao:

It's rare I am getting sunburned..so if I burn up, you know it was hot af...

I used the color gloss tonight that I got myself months ago and it is soo strong, like hairdye.

Especially my dry tips sucked the color up real good.

I had it on towel-dry hair for like 10 minutes, just needed a few pumps.

My hair is chocolatey dark now.

I wrapped it up in my overnight curler now...did not use that for a while.

I try to not forget to take a picture tomorrow.

Well, heading to rest a bit more before going to sleep.

adieu box braids

Heya!

Yesterday I tried filling some gaps and practicing isolation and lash extension.

Honestly the application is not so bad, what is tough is isolation and mapping.

Like in all those videos they make it look so easy with upper lashes three rows and bottom lashes one...I am not sure if I have only 3 rows on top..it looks, like more? Also some lashes are too small to put something on, what do you do then, if right there you need another lash? My bottom lashes are 3 rows even...what the hell.

I was not being able to pick up the single lashes at all, probably because of my tweezers, they don't see suitable for doing this..the volume lash are the only thing that I could pick up lol

I tried at least doing the spikes but when wanting to glue another volume lash on the side, there was already a lash on or a y-lash for volume...it is so hard working on top of someone elses "design".

I tried doing the tape trick on the side and I am lucky I didn't do it all the way BECAUSE IT RIPPED MY LASHES OFF.

I found it so weird, sometimes you glue a lash to a tower and then it switches position and is laying somwhere completely different..

So yea, mapping seems the toughest part but maybe I just need to work on a blank canva.

I filled some of the gaps and just have some volume lashes hanging there now lmao.

I am gonna be honest, I am not a big fan of the volume...it is....too spiky.

So I will probably order other volume lashes.

Today I walked with the dog in the morning and promised my mum doing her nails after lunch. 

When my package arrived before she came upstairs.

Now looking at the pics I almost forgot about this.

I always wanted to try one...have you used this before? It feels...sharp, might ruin the skin or nah?

This book is so so so much better than these plastic rings that are annoying af, really.

Also you have alllll the colors in one go...

And the new hair I ordered:

yup...premade locs...I wanna put my hair into beads (or braid, if the hair is too thick for the bead) and then slip it through...no rubber bands...they suck, really.

I have no idea where my beads are, so just in case I ordered some..

You can't have enough...looking at the size of the ring, my hair should fit in..maybe..

Tada...my mum has the same nail color like me now lmao.

She wanted that color, it is from the lynis polishes, called seashell peach or smth.

I painted it over her pink born pretty rubber gel layer.

This is the only kind of manicure my mum likes...it is flexible enough to not hurt her and stable enough to not break...and she can keep her own nails.

And yes, after 3 weeks I say goodbye now

R.I.P braids...I almost cried taking them off..

I loved them more than I thought I would.

It took me like and hour, or an hour and a half I guess to take it all out..

We ate some honey melons for dinner and then I started brushing through.

I first thought...wow, there is almost no hair that fell out at all...hmm strange...and then after the combing...oh lord.

R.I.P comb...it didn't make it.

I brushed carefully through it, so it had been broken before but still it is an hilarious picture.

Luckily that nail shop with the lamp sent that comb as a gift...I then still had one lol.

1/4th of my hair got out lmaoo...

At first I thought, wow that's a lot.

But then I was thinking of all the hair that would clog the drain in the shower, in the sink...all the hair that would be in my brush, on the floor, on my pillow...

These 3 weeks my floor was almost so clean...it's crazy what a couple hair can do haha..

So then after giving it a thought, that amount for 3 weeks is totally acceptable..

plus, it is super fluffy now after being all curled up...probably just looks that thick.

It was so much fun combing it all out.

I then went into the shower and oh boy...my hair is so so so silky now.

Like DAMN...protection hairstyle? damn right.

I was too lazy now to take a picture but after drying my hair usually looks very similiar to the pic above but now IT IS STRAIGHT.

It is super smooth...only the tips that are damaged from the bleach etc. still look fried obviously but the top of my head is sooo smooth.

I am really glad I pulled throught these 3 weeks.

I am excited to try the locs...they are much softer than the braids too.

I am curious how they will look on me but at the same time, I needed some time adjusting to the braids as well, so just giving it a go.

My scalp feels relieved from the tension, so depending on how it will feel after tomorrow morning, I might wait another day or straight put the locs in..

I will do the boxes a bit different this time...maybe it was impatience but at the top of my head they were just too damn big compared to the rest.

Also some were too wide, I tried doing like the cross kind of thing but apparently forgot, that it still had to look like a box, not a rectangle.

Will head to bed now..C-Ya.

Lash inspo

Heya!

I haven't been posting lately....I was pretty much just spending time with my family.

I planned visiting my grandparents after going shoe shopping but when I arrived, my grandma was sick and I took care of her a bit before giving her some more rest.

The other day we were visiting again because my grandpa had birthday and my parents had to take him to a doctors appointment.

But both are fine now.

Guess what, there are like no great shoes in the local stores..

They wonder why so many people buy online but all the shops are just incredibly..meh.

I am glad I could find at least some pair..They were 50% off..

I exchanged the laces for the ribbons...just look at how much better they look now:

I wish I could have found some cute plain white ones because most of my clothes are feminine flower dresses but at least I have some sneakers for now.

It is two weeks now that I got my lashes done by my SiL and most of the lashes are already missing.

So I have been thinking about doing my lashes soon.

So here are some pictures that I found inspiring: 

I want an Anime kind of lash look but with more volume and I feel like this picture comes closest to what I imagine.

Here the lash "towers" look great but everything else is not voluminous enough.

The other day I found a picture that was the best picture to show what I like but I did not save it and now I don't find it anymore.

Also, I found a different kind of look that is also really tempting: Medusa lashes.

They look like a great inbetween volume and anime.

Key is to use different kind of curls,lengths and textures to create a fluffly kind of look.

I reminds me a lot of those filter lashes meitu has that looked really cool on me tbh.

How come always when I am about to start a "project" on my looks, I found something else I wanna try too?

The last time it was my wig and when my wig was finally done I wanted braids, when I was about to do braids, I wanted other looks as well.

Same thing now, anime lashes and when I am about to do it, oh no Medusa looks great too...

I might be too hyper as a person hahaha.

Well, let's just try the anime lash now...that will be so exciting...idk if I am even able to get it done at all?

and soon my locs will arrive, and I can try doing the box thing with the beads...since the rubber bands snapped like crazy and fucked everything up.

Now the braids don't slip anymore, they are loose af but I got used to them.

My head also got used to the wash rythm.

The first week was hell, because I was not used to not washing my head every day and felt so greasy and dirty.

Now I got them 3 weeks in and my head got used to it.

It's crazy to see the hair roots from the strands that have fallen out in those 3 weeks.

They are braided in, so they don't fall out and instead just hang there..

for me too....look at them lmao.

that's between 1000 and 2000 hairs that must be hanging there.

Sounds fun.

if you want I can show the aftermath lmao.

well we got visit over today again and I need to prepare the table and still put makeup on.

salad bar in your fridge...and nail stuff of course

yesterday I saw a post of someone making a "saladbar" in their fridge drawer and I figured I could try.

Because I have been eating kinda the same thing over and over again and it is not exactly healthy anyway as well..So I could give it a try.

I did not cut all of the veggies, since idk how much I would eat the next days and can always stock up.

Technically the idea is amazing but I originally wanted to put the food directly onto my plate at the fridge but I cannot open the containers...BUT I can take out the whole drawer lmao.

So yea, it does fulfill it's purpose.

Tonight we celebrated wedding anniversary from my parents and ordered asian food from that new restaurant. Honestly, at this point all these asian restaurants are the same here lmao.

But they had Sichuan and I really wanted to try it.

I was hesitant at first, because the menu said "very spicy" but since this was a one time only to me I was like, whatever.

I did not take any pictures but to me it was not spicy at all.

Yes, it had a numbing feeling in the mouth but it wasn't extreme.

I figured they must have adapted to the spicy tolerance around here.

Aaaand another package arrived.

No I do not have a problem (yet).

Some just arrives at a different time and are from the same order, plus I believe I am done ordering for now.

I will probably book a course next but idk if I should take gel or acrylic.

In this package were for example my cleaning rag for the mop.

I did not check sizes and I was worried they would be too big and guess what, they would have been almost too small...but luckily they fit.

I ordered from work, so I could not measure.

These came in a 3-piece-set. 

And the other 3 set-ups for looking clean and yet cozy for nail work.

This one is like a perfect inbetween casual and pajamas ngl.

These look so cool!

These are my favourite I guess...the pants are see-through again and possibly the same ones (???) but the top looks so elegant.

All in all, for all 4 sets I paid around 50€ in total.

That is so totally ok and then I at least know what to wear.

And a 3-piece pajama set for very hot days.

I was too lazy to try on the other two sets, they r the same mostly anyway.

I love how comfy they are...I was wooried the top would be too tight and the shorts too short (like panties) but they are so nicely cut.

3 sets for just 7€...that's a steal.

Most my "summer" pajamas are all long-sleeved, long-legged...yknow.

But it has been quite warm in my living room, my old bedroom that is now my studio used to be so cold.

And the nail package...

I still had some acrylic liquid left but since I was ordering anyway, I got the big bottle now.

And all the other stuff.

It was so hard sorting the colors...I wanted to have just one bottle per color more or less...just to have some to start working with (I can still work with my other polishes but yknow what I mean).

These colors are soooo damn pretty...they are so much better than the born pretty ones, really.

BUT some colors I probably chose wrong as first.

I don't really have a blue rn. The color "darkness" is supposed to be a navy but it is actually quite dark, I thought I ordered another black by accident. The other blue is more teal and looks very greenish and reallife. So normal blue yet unfortunately.

The pink color girly, is a lot more vibrant than I thought....I pictured a sweet pastel pink, or candy cotton kind of color but nope, it is a bright pink.

And Barbie, which was supposed to be a bright pink is neon...like really flashy.

I am not complaining, they are beautiful colors...but if I had known, I probably would have picked others first...but nvm.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how pretty the package of this builder gel is?

I wanna try the dual tip method and got this gel for it now...

I had hoped that maybe it would be non-wipe, then I could use it for 3d stuff as well but no chance.

I might have to order somewhere else for other kinds of gels.

The probably overpriced dual tips but nvm..I am not gonna order another package from shein or AliEx...they do what they r supposed to do and yknow maybe there is a quality difference?

(there wasn't a big difference in the brushes tho).

There is one more thing to buy: shoes.

Tomorrow I will go to a local shop.

Yknow the two white sneaker I tried to make work? They did not work out..

the opposite actually, the fall apart rn.

I don't have any casual shoes now.

Only high heels, sandals, flip flops or straight up boots for winter.

The weather has gotten colder again and I got nothing to wear.

So I am looking for plain cute sneakers.

lash, more nail stuff and more yapping

Just when I was about to make just a yap post, the doorbell rang.

The rest of my AliEx order arrived.

There is a mix of nail stuff and personal stuff.

For example this clear mat for preventing everything to keep slipping.

I should have checked the measurements though...it is smaller than I thought.

Well, I let it go flat right now and then we will see if it works.

It came with these stickers and for now I will just leave them I guess.

I can still use them (I am just not sure how and that's why I leave them).

Also this golden plate. Now that I think of it, it sounds ridiculous but I felt like it helps me having my tools not just all over the desk. 

And as you can see, ALLLL OF THE BITS xD

They are actually too many and how come I don't have any taper barells? was I drunk ordering?

And the magnets...yes to cut the size equally.

I needed a new UV/LED lamp to cure my nails without having to hold something.

I am excited to try it out.

My new acrylic brushes..these are so much bigger! and soft, curious how much liquid they hold.

The dispenser though doesn't work...it is really bad.

And my lash stuff:

it looks actually more than it is.

Some new cleaning brushes (my old ones fall apart).

And well...you can see.

I want to use the stone in the middle to put glue on, since the rings I have are not handy for DIY-applications unfortunately.

The stickers below are to glue on top and then take off afterwards for easy cleaning.

The fan will help fasten the drying time but I felt like it can also work for hot days - so win/win.

This time I picked a different lash store and when I tell you, these are so soft.

There are so much better than all the other stiff ones I have gotten so far.

So it does matter which ones you order from AliEx.

I am actually really really excited to do my first set!

And yes some....wrong purchase?

I wanna try sewing my hair when I get to wear my wig...someday.

But this "yarn" turned out to be a...net or something?

And it smells...honestly Idk what this is.

I will probably find out and fall into another rabbit hole.

And now the yapping part.

I ordered some more polishes and I felt like I am almost ready to start and wanted to look unto insurances. I personally don't feel safe without.

Some women are crazy and it's not like you are handling harmless stuff, so I rather be on the safe side than getting big bills I can't pay.

Guess what, I need licenses to apply for insurances.

I don't need a license to do the business, but for insurance it is needed?

Well some courses are on the cheaper side and I guess it is not a bad thing to get schooled...makes it more professional...also it looks good framed on the wall ngl.

However when I was getting my lashes done by my SiL (still didn't tell her I will be doing my own now) she asked me about my business, because my mum told her...although I asked her not to tell anyone but I kinda knew that wouldn't work out.

I yapped about getting the stuff and so on and then she was like I was doing too much.

"You think the asian nail studios care about stuff like that?" and I am gonna be honest,

it feels kinda insulting.

Is it really that bad, to be on the safe side in this?

Like, I wanna do this great and want to be proud of this and if that means having proper stuff and getting all done first, then that's what it will be?

And honestly, who cares what the asians do? I have been there and the service was terrible.

I don't wanna be like them anyway?

At first it felt like I was going too slow and now it feels like everything is coming together now.

And still, I could have started earlier...Also wasn't the original plan to sell press-ons??

this plan excites me way more though so idk.

Maybe it's just part of the first doubts you get when starting such a thing but idk..

Sunday - Relax-day.

Here some inspo I gathered over the past days.

I found a new channel called Jenmarie Nails and her nail art is seriously bomb.

I am in love with the velvet cheetah idea.

And these two I picked up from Pinterest:

And, even though I always disliked it...I have been into locs lately..

This color combo is so sweet.

So my braids are really slipping down now, hanging on to dear life.

I probably can stretch it just a few more days.

I have seen someone use beads instead of rubberbands and that's such a cool idea.

I mean the reason mine are slipping down at the back is because the rubberbands snapped and there is a gap now that used to be tightly braided.

I have odered something from AliEx and Shein but it seems that everything gets delivered seperately.

So here is one of the 4 sets I ordered.

It sounds silly but I thought that when I will take clients I don't have clothes?

I only have pajamas more or less.

So yes...I ordered PANTS.

I want smth cozy but still put together? 

This set is soo see-through!!! but for the money it will work haha xD

And 4 pairs of these socks:

They are soo soo sooo cozy.

But too thick I cannot put on the heels afterwards...damn it.

I can wear my flats tho lol.

And the bonder for all the lash stuff I ordered.

I have just bleached my eyebrows and it is so weird during the process.

My brows end up having the same color like my skin, as if I have no brows at all lmao.

Now is the tint on and I have to get it off now..

Will tell you if that worked better or if the color is just too dark idk haha.
