quick update

It's sunday, that means not doing anything day. <3

However I didn't keep up with you from the past days.

when I went grocery shopping I saw a selection of pink/gold kitchen tools from paris hilton.

Oh boy I wanted everything so bad haha BUT either I got the stuff already or it is not suitable for the dishwasher.

The only thing I got now is the frother.

I wanted one so bad but the one from my work was actually quite expensive and I didn't see one anywhere else.

This was like 7-8€ if I remember correctly, that's totally OK.

And it's gold, that's dope.

Had no chance to try it yet.

I was able to do ONE selfie tho haha.

One week is over and the braids are still looking good.

However I doubt they will last 4 weeks.

Some are slipping down and I noticed on those that do, the rubbber band snapped.

So maybe the rubberbands were the only thing holding this thing up.

or maybe it is just too much weight idk.

2 weeks, 3 weeks at max I believe but that's good enough I guess.

This is how my fits look like currently.

dress+thin cardigan+sheer socks and my lovely summer shoes.

I am getting a lot of compliments (also about my hair).

People are so surprised I did them myself.

I personally believe you can tell they are self-made but isn't it the nicest compliment when people cannot believe you do stuff yourself?

My eyebrow tint is still on but so subtle I just kept drawing them on lmao.

BUT next time I will probably bleach them before dying.

Because I can guarantee my eyebrows have a different color..

the hairs actually look darker and just the skin subtly the light brown color as intended.

I also ordered a different kind of dye that specifically mentions skin staining, so it might be stronger.

You also don't need to mix it, it's in a foam bottle...so several uses.

I ordered a few more things.

swatch & new nails & brow tint gone wrong

So yes, I had the energy to do all of it.

the swatches, the nails and the brows. 

First of, the brush dilemma.

So guess what, the ones from shein is even better because it is slightly bigger and flatter.

Here a different angle.

Left is lynis, and the right one is from shein.

I actually prefer the one on the right.

Also while swatching I had no problems at all, except when I started using the blush pink.

So I believe it is just this color that is a bit problematic.

I really love rose and peach, extender can look good for autumn I guess.

I chose three different kind of glitters to try how it has to be used and they turned out to need a whole lot more liquid ratio.

Plus, the polishes are so damn good..

Those are just 1 coat each...they are amazing.

I will get these polishes, definitely.

Well I tried doing nails and honestly I just feel so weird having short nails.

But I wanna let them grow and figure out how long I can get them and still play the piano.

First, I found out that round nails are a whole lot better than square ones for playing.

Tbh I fucked up the french a bit..I seriously don't know how far down to go for short nails lmao.

but at the same time I was just sick from filing.

I need to look up how to do almond???

It looks fine from up, but from the side it is super weird xD

I tried the brow tint thing but I believe it is not a good product.

It literally does not properly stain the skin.

I used it once for 10 minutes as described and was terrified it will turn out too dark but it did absolutely nothing.

So I went for another round and left it for 20 minutes xD

It is better than the first but still barely stained.

I believe it will be completely gone by tomorrow xD

But ey, at least I like the idea.

It is easier than I believed.

Oh and the brow wax did not work...as expected.

Wax never works on me.

Next week I will get my lashes done again...there are gaps everywhere.

And then I need to do my own sets I guess.

I still don't know what lashes to get.

baby pool for an adult

Good morning!

The weather has been so nice latelyy, I don't wanna stay iiin and cleaaan or do my nailsss haha

my brother got a big baby pool yesterday from the village shop (last one for just 30 bucks) and I got so excited.

Other people can fit in it too, so I was like "Hold my beer! I am getting dressed".

I put on my bikini and ran back to the garden haha. 

It was so nice to just chill a bit in the water, especially because vacation is canceled.

A cannot go to croatia with me and the plan was to share costs (vacationing is incredibly expensive nowadays). I looked for alternatives but even the cheap steals are still too much for just me to handle rn.

Going to vacation was a spontaneous decision, so I haven't been saving up enough.

So I decided to just leave it this year and just keep saving so maybe next time I am able to go somewhere better.

I really want to go to China, Japan and South Korea (or, just Singapore again, I loved it).

I remember flying to mallorca for 600 (including flight) and now you can't go under 900 no matter the destination. Might as well just save double and go somewhere you really wanna go.

My sister in law saw how I braided my hair on monday, so when she saw the final result yesterday she said it looks great on me.

Also I said it took me until 1am and instantly my brother said "was totally worth it".

That made me happy idk.

My brother usually always complains and finds something that could have been better about absolutely everything. Gratefulness is a term he probably doesn't know but we got used to it.

So him complimenting my hard work like that felt really good.

You know, it is really good then haha.

I glued the tips shut and sealed it in boiling water and now the whole head is not stiff anymore.

Next task will be taking care of it and avoiding itch.

That appeared like a week after, so curious how I will be dealing with it now.

Also I always feel like I am pale af and now being pictured next to my family I am not lmao.

I didn't even properly tan and just went to the beauty mode in the studio.

Makes me wanna tan again ngl haha.

My mind works in mysterious ways.

Well anyway, I will definitely swatch my new products today...not sure if I will do the nails but technically I really should.

I looked up, it has been 4 weeks already..crazy huh.

Also I miss done up nails.

nail haul and braids

 Good morning!

So yesterday I did it...it took me all day.

I knew from last time that possibly it will take me a long time, so I wanted to do it calm, by making a break here and there...inserting braids in the bathroom and finishing them in the sun outside...

Started ca. 11am and I was done at 1am!!

my parting is done sooo much better than last time.

I also like how this time it is not heavy.

I probably did that mistake the last time by adding too much hair.

So they are pretty stiff and some opened again for the picture, but yea I just wanted to go to sleep man!!

I wanted to do normal braids but I did the technique wrong (later found out what but it was too late), so I opted for the rubber band method again.

I guess it is also good to just figure this out like that and then maybe proceed getting more practice over time.

I still don't know if I like it this time...if I am able to wear it longer etc.

So better not invest too much time in it.

I now rebraided some ends and glued it shut with tip glue, like I cannot be bothered until sealing xD

I am boiling water right now...I have done that last time and didn't do it yet, maybe that's why they are so stiff.

Apparently they are always stiff the first 2-3 days, so I just let it see how it goes.

I seriously cannot remember how it was last time.

I also want to oil my scalp.

Will keep you updated.

Alsooo...my next nail package arrived two days ago and I haven't shown yet.

So since I actually like the acrylics, I was willing to try out the polishes because if I like them (unlike the colorgels) then I can just order my stuff from the same place.

I opted for black,white and red, since I feel like those are pretty common colors AND they are opaque, so if they end up streaky or just meh, it is so much easier to tell.

I also wanted to order a new brush, because I felt like the brush might have been the application problem but guess what...IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME ONE...just way more expensive.

it looked flat on the picture but it is not...where do I get flat acrylic brushes???

I also got an ombre brush.

I usually fade the ombre with a line brush but I feel like with this it will be easier.

curious to try out!

And yes...rhinestone glue, I hope this works better for the wanted effect.

I also put the foil gel in it because I actually used to use foil a lot and I want to get back to it.

For the acrylics I used a customized set to save on money.

These are three colors (glitter) that only have the name on the bottom...you cannot tell the color on the lid or on the bottle, so I will show swatches later on.

and the cover acrylics. 

I felt like the nude was too greyish and I wanted to have some other cover gels.

I also put in clear and white (for my 3d flowers).

So excited to try them out.

I need to dip my hair now and I also need to do my nails finally (has been weeks).

I also want to try out this brow tint thing but honestly I am soo tired from braiding xDD

Idk maybe tonight...or tomorroow.

quick update

Good morning!!

So meitu has changed their app..again??

just a quick update and then I have to get ready for work.

So yesterday I woke up TOO early and decided to curl my hair and honestly I hated it haha.

The hair is soo short with curls and curls made with the straightener are soo stiff T.T

I also kinda did my makeup different and used highlighter under the brow and omgg..

That's sharp AF.

So I was running out of time and had to quickly get dressed.

Didn't even bother for accessories.

I love that mirror but I need to figure out how to take pics in front of it haha.

I will stop drying laundry there soon and then I also have more space to stand.

I received an ad from catrice on my phone about a mattyfing gel that is TRANSPARENT (i hate white powders etc.) and just went and got it.

I also accidentally bought more than I wanted.

I haven't used fixing spray since ages...so might wanna restart on that.

I also saw brow tint kits!!

and y'know what...I rather try it with cheap kits like this if I even like it at all before ordering some super expensive professional stuff.

I also got a wax pen lmao.

So curious how that will turn out.

Well gotta prepare some lunch and do my meiku.

yesterday I tried out my new products <33

Talk about full..I am curious where you hit the bottom then.

The acrylic is so much better to work with and the brush is amazing <3

But I am so not used to working with acrylic anymore.

Idk, I believe I just have too much liquid in the brush.

You can tell I was getting better.

The thumb is all bumby and the last nails are almost even.

BUT it is so thin, I need to figure out how big of a bead can cover an area again.

Here is after shaping. 

You can tell the layer was too thin, because the index finger is a bit see-through since I filed off too much.

Et voilá!

Honestly, although I LOVE the design, the glue I used for applying the rhinestones had some kind of reaction with the air, because it is matte and white around the stones now and looks pretty ugly.

I am devastated.

I used the golden paint gel for the nail art and I kinda love it, but the material has a thick viscosity which made it SUPER hard painting zebra with it.

Also the Acrylic gel is just another solid, it looked more liquidy online but nope I cannot use it for the what I originally wanted to use it for, that's why I used tip glue for the stones.

That's also why I had to use my old rubber gel for the middle finger.

everything else is too solid or too liquidy for that design.

Did you know how hard it is to draw french on a nail that is not on a finger?

I cannot for the love of god figure out how far down or up I have to draw the curve.

Well, in the evening my dad came over to install the doors.

It looks so clean now <3

Yes, I still have these slatted frames laying around, I might try to sell them.

Now I know it is not as easy as I thought it would be.

My couch and chair didn't get sold at all, luckily though, because I found new purposes for them lmao.

I did my mums nails today with the product and yea, it is 10x harder to work on short nails.

I literally cannot work on short nails apparently.

only the last 4 nails kinda worked out lmao.

I had to fix all the others like crazy, I hope they last T.T

so I wanted to post that I made a new layout and forgot about it haha.

So no, I am not "back in gyaru", it is like I said it is, I wear whatever I want and just get inspo from whatever. Just in case it comes across differently.

The old design just didn't vibe anymore.

Glad to change my profile pic as soon I got a proper one I like because I currently take none, so took this one with the wig and edited makeup on haha.

Honestly, I don't know why I never chose a pink/purple background for the columns??

It was always white or cream.

This is actually pretty cool haha.

And I also forgot I took pics yesterday.

Want to get back to outfit pics like I used to do.

Makeup like last time but without the eyeliner.

The lashes are just not intensive enough for that.

So I am waiting for my doors which get delivered today and used the morning to clean out my garage.

I had a bunch of cardboxes there from the last furnitures I got and it all the bags with old clothes.

So made some space.

I think it is so funny how it got shipped haha.

All those cheap nail shops from AliEx or Shein pack all their bottles with so much wrapping and here the stuff just gets thrown in.

But then, it is shipping in the same country and not somewhere else.

I am not sure yet but I will probably work with acrylic as a base and do the design with polish on top and I never mastered a proper removal for it.

So definitely having to be able to do it.

My cleanser is getting empty, so immediately got a proper one.

The aceton remover and then there is this cuticle remover that I want to try out?

So I chose a nude instead of clear first, because I believe it will be easier for me to learn proper application and shaping when I can actually see it.

I can work with acrylic but it has always been a cheap one, so I am curious if it works better with a good one.

If that's the case I will choose acrylic as a base and get the other nudes as well, just like a clear one.

The glue gel is amazing - rebuy!

I also want something inbetween acrylic and gel, which is not too thick but also not too thin for my small rhinestones so I wanted to try out acrylic gel.

I also got two metallic gels, because I love metallic deco but I just cannot bother with the powders and sealing etc....this might solve this problem.

I got this bond as well now, because the primer I got from her a couple months ago burns like hell.

It stated on the bottle "acidic" but I had no clue what that actually meant.

I also got a dehydrator now, cause that's what I like working with.

Two top coats - gloss and matte, and nail oil.

Curious to try it out soon <3

I also talked with my friend, if she can be my hand model lmao.

So I will be doing some press-ons just for fun and she can model them when coming over haha.

She is not into beauty like I am, she is not wearing even makeup or anything, so won't be able to convince her to get some done BUT - she is willing to help this way.

She actually has pretty hands in my opinion.

Without wanting to sound weird, but her fingers are small and "clean", almost like those plastic hands HAHA...I would think she is a born hand model but we will see if I am right about that haha.

inspo day

 Heyaa,

it was a calm sunday.

I am not sure if I told you but I decided to make my sundays the "I do absolutely nothing"-days.

normally when I had time off, I still would do something...even if it is a hobby, or a workout or whatever.

Since I do nothing on sundays, I feel more energetic on the other days.

I felt like the body just needs at least one day to just rest...like, really rest.

Gonna keep you up how that works for me.

I played the piano today and I take back my prior statement.

idk what was going wrong the past days but today was fine, so it definitely is not the extra cm on my nails...luckily. I just had cramps in my hands I guess.

Next to playing the piano and eating and watching tv, I also scrolled a bit through pinterest.

SO, since I said I wanna do inspo posts like others do, here is what my scrolling looked like and what I am taking inspiration in.

This is like the perfect inbetween box braids and curly hair.

Probably will do something like that sometime but first I wanna practice the boxing a bit more.

I also enjoy looking at russian braiding, since I get the styling is more...typical caucasian?does that make sense?

I feel like no matter how I want to describe what I see, it will get out of my mouth terribly wrong. 

So I apologize in advance for my next sentence.

I love taking inspo from black people, but some hairstyles are just instinctively black and the russian braiders have more western influence in it.

I like braids but not every style black people do seems suitable for me.

I guess it is easier to just show:

For example they do these cornrows on top of the head with a ponytail in russia.

at least I see more content of russians doing this and barely black people braiding like this.

And the russians often make it straight.

However it will be a little tricky blending with the natural hair, if the hair is a lot shorter (like mine)

What I thought is, you could could do the bottom as box braids and close the braid more on the top, so that the length is straight. The top of the head is made like this then.

The problem with that is though, that I have to use as less hair as possible to not make it too thick.

I thought you could just straighten it, the same way you can straighten silicone wigs but last time I tried crocheting with invisible knots and wanted to straighten it, even on the lowest heat, it just burned, so now I am terrified of that happening lmao.

Some put pearls inbetween the braids and if I ever am able to cornrow, I will definitely do something like this haha.

But I cannot braid for the love of god...and I don't know how to teach me..

I watched sooo many videos teaching how to braid yourself but I can only braid down...not on the scalp.

I need a looot more practice.

I then saw this video of braiding tinsel into the box braids, it is called fantasy braid apparently and I LOVE IT. (I got an idea, more later).

I wasn't into twists but this picture might make me reconsider.

I also saw lots of pictures of cornrows on top of the head and the back curly or braided like this.

I don't like having big braids (like in the bead picture) or having cornrows without some hair in the front, if you get what I mean.

This is actually a cool idea, you have something inbetween. 

The way they braided some in the front to make a "fringe". It's genius.

I liked this picture too. Idk, I have a feeling it is a wig but it is laid so damn well, I am not sure haha.

I guess if you have open hair like this, it won't be too bad to have the hair braided to the back. Also since it is only braided on top it also looks great.

This color combo is absolutely amazing.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE neapolitan hair and I wish I could wear a variety of it some day.

So here is the idea: fantasy braids but with this color combo??

with pink tinsel or maybe gold. That would be amazing.

I was wondering a lot about what my SIL does different.

I have been analyzing my lash sets ever since she started doing them for me.

Don't get me wrong, she herself said that she is not experienced and has never done sets like this anyway, so I don't want to sound ungrateful and the sets are getting better over time.

However, I am paying her full price for the sets, so I am on the same level like a regular customer for the sets and I am not as satisfied as I wish to be.

I am looking up the topic a whole lot more than her.

I am getting more and more hyped about this topic.

I even practiced isolation a bit more and guess what.

It works just fine with a curved tweezer.

I was doing the practicing with a straight one and that didn't work, so I thought it would be impossible but with curved tweezer it is actually easy.

I have been watching tutorials on diy lash sets and yes, it is "dangerous" but I am also not too inexperienced.

I worked with real glue before and didn't turn blind.

I have quite steady hands from applying the clusters and since isolation practice has been working well for me, I might actually try doing my own sets some day.

Yes it will take some hours but does anything else I do not take hours?

The lashes she uses are a whole lot better though than the ones I got from AliEx.

You could seriously feel the difference so I wanted to look up on the shop myself what kind of lashes get offered there and saw there was also a brow section.

And I entered another inspo hole.

It almost feels embarassing but I had no idea something called brow tints exist.

Whenever I saw a picture like that I THOUGHT ITS MICROBLADED.

brow tints also last like 3-6 weeks apparently??

So yea...I will also definitely do this.

I am so unhappy with my brows, I only feel good when they have makeup on.

This would be an amazing solution for me.

I watched this tutorial on youtube on how it is getting done and it looks like something I can definitely do.

I definitely have to something with beauty as a job.

Like seriously most things I would love to wear, is not acceptable at my workplace.

And especially now in sales, I didn't want to scare off customers and ruin my chances of making sales.

I would probably need less clothes as well, since I am not going out.

I actually looked for some pretty sets with pants (omg yes, pants) that I will be able to wear as soon as I take customers.

Because honestly, I didn't think of it before but I chill at home with my pajamas...

I cannot take customers in pajamas.

I also don't want to make my pajamas dirty.

So yea, I will need some sets with pants but not too many dresses anymore.

This is a lot of text for a tiny point to make but you see where my thought train is going?

If just the thought of my new job makes me reconsider my wardrobe and shopping habits, what about the rest?
