Day 1: Travel

 While driving to Frankfurt it was raining like crazy...we did not see the STREET at all.

And that's when I have noticed, I have not once mind checking the weather over there...and yup, looks like mostly rain. 🙃

The airport was hella huge.

I was directed like a ping pong ball between the employees...I did not even have to approach them😭

They probably see that a lot in a day.

Once I had to walk THROUGH a shop...I was standing in front of the shop and the sign over it saying "⬆️Z" and my face was like "🙂huh".

And another employee has shown me "yup, go ahead" waving to the front...🤣

Boarding was easier for me.

We took off like 30 min. later.

Yes, I am one of those crazy ppl watching the plane.

Right on board we got dinner (I was surprised tbh).

Dinner was ok I guess..

The vegetables were sour I couldn't take them tbh.

Most of the time the lights were off and I tried sleeping...tried😅

I hoped they would open the blinds earlier, because I also wanted to read but that wasn't possible.

So I instead watched Brooklyn 99 on the screen.

Then they finally opened the blinds at some point and I ate breakfast and repeated my chinese.

And then it was already landing time 🙃

12 hours plus..my buttcheeks hurt.

As soon as I landed I luckily did not have many troubles with orientation like I had in Frankfurt.

I was able to catch a couple pictures before leaving but I am surprised that I didn't find this "point" like in all of the google pics.

But hey look at this:

The airport had carpet flooring...thats some wild work.

My transfer immediately could pick me up and bring me to my host family.

They have so many skyscrapers lmao.

You immediately get these tropical vibes.

My host family seems very nice.

Their dog is soo cute.

Shelly wanted to show me where the train station is so I know where to go tomorrow to get to school.

I also tried getting a sim card.

My shoes broke on the way home😭

Luckily I have three more.

Now here is the real thing:

My card doesn't get accepted it seems and the only other one I have is non-physical that I couldn't try out yet cuz I needed internet first.

If these two don't work, I am in BIG trouble.

I have some cash for now but other than that..everything is on my card.

Everything.

I looked this up online and everywhere it said I could pay with card...well nope, apparently not.

I just took a shower and am going to sleep now.

It is early but I also just skipped a day lmao.

And I didn't sleep much anyway.

The space is nice but very tiny..

I thought my bathroom space is small but here it's even smaller...

So I decided to do only the water-related steps in the bathroom and do everything else in my bedroom to save space and also don't disturb my host family too much.

This is a whole culture clash I guess, for both worlds...They plan on having another person stay here at some time (not now) and I guess that could be problematic if they are "divas" like me🙃

Half of my clothes are still in my luggage lmao.
