Beauty of Anemone

 Yo!

So this afternoon I was done with converting the existing scans and this evening I just scanned Larme 001.

I sometimes like to joke that the first couple issues of Larme is like a himekaji light version or smth.

I hope you can see what I mean hahaha..

I personally prefer the issues that are in the middle...without wanting to fix myself on numbers but around 020-040s maybe...the newest issues are not that good...but also because I don't really like the modern trends..

This afternoon I have also been looking up a little bit more about greek mythology.

I for example always had a thing for Aphrodite, idk exactly what it is but it's literally the only Goddess that I heard about and thought "Yes!!"...haha

But now I have been looking up some stories about her and she resonates with me a lot more than I thought..maybe thats why my subconsciousness chose her.

Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, once fell deeply in love with a mortal man named Adonis. He was strikingly handsome, brave, and full of life. She warned him to stay away from dangerous beasts, but he loved hunting and could not resist the thrill.

One day, while hunting alone, Adonis was attacked by a wild boar and fatally wounded.

When Aphrodite heard his cries, she rushed to him through the forest, scratching herself on thorns, bleeding as she ran. She held him in her arms as he died.

My favourite flowers are roses...and they ever be...but now I see a different kind of beauty in anemones.

lil update to scanning

 So I wasn't able to scan the past few months because while my kitchen was under construction my table was COVERED...I had no space and then all my mags were covered under my books, stored in boxes bcuz of the shelves that had to get done..

Now I have motivation again to do some scanning but I was wondering how to upload them...My Google drive was already full, just by uploading 6-7 pdfs...and I have TONS of scans actually..

I have seen a couple ppl posting scans as pictures on their blogs so I think I will be doing this that way..

I was looking up if there is some way (hopefully easy and quick) to convert each page of a pdf into a jpg and there is with GIMP..which I already have.

For one pdf it took me about 20-30 minutes to save each page individually which is not bad I'd say.

So I will be doing it this way now..

I still have some scans left that I need to convert and then I start scanning new mags..

Is there something specific you wish to see first?

I'd like to go through my Larme again haha...so maybe I do that first..but I don't mind doing it in a diff order...I want to get it all scanned at some point.

I also decided to make my list a little bit clearer..thanks to ChatGPT I easily could manage

So as you can see, it is a drop-down now..I don't want to edit it all the time when adding a link, so I put a CSS in that if a link is invalid, it's crossed out and untouchable..

That way I only need to insert link when I am done and not completely change style etc.

I hope it is clearer now, especially because I had 59 Larme just listed underneath each other and except of a couple issues from 2011, I have most Ageha until 2013 complete..

That made this list HUGE..

 Finished 3rd season Squid game last night at like...4am? 🤣🤣

It's so cool to have my TV back.

This plot was even better than the first..

However, If there will be a 4th season I am very skeptical..without wanting to sound rude but at the end of the last episode it seemed like the games are at america now and I rlyyy don't want it to continue there idk why..

I feel like it will fuck up the whole thing...like for example dakhji is not even a thing there I'd say..

Etc. Etc.

I feel like either the story could continue with the woman from north korea who was a soldier there, or it will continue with gi-huns daughter..

I can also imagine the Chairman plotting smth..

BUT I ACTUALLY WANTED TO POST SMTH ELSE.

I tried this pistaccio cream for breakfast.

I absolutely love this gourmet line from Aldi..they always have the most interesting products coming out.

I took this in my cart but didn't have an idea how to use it and asked ChatGPT for some ideas and the one with goat cheese sounds interesting..

So I spread the cream on some dark bread (like i.e. Dinkel or in this case it's Roggen), put goat cheese on it and topped it with honey.

This is sooo good!!

It is literally the GOAT xD

 My dad is done today!

I have been sorting my magazines and books for 3-4 hours right now..

The sorting is not 100% done because I still have lots of crafting stuff etc. laying around but I will manage tomorrow I guess.

I do want *some* decoration inside so I am glad it's not too much but at the same time it looks so empty to me lmao...

Also I applied this sorting thing I have seen online where ppl turn around books they have not read yet and I love that..

I have sorted them by genre (more or less) and by alphabet of the author..

Now I can just pick a random book and enjoy it☺️

I think what would rly be cool is to put pots on top with some green leaves hanging under..🤔

this day is doomed

 After building three shelves my dad called it a day..which is true, we might have to continue today anyway..might as well enjoy the evening.

So I cut and dye my hair last night and I was done with all that, and showering, drying at midnight😭

Super bloodyy haha

Even tho this morning I woke up early...this day was meant to be bad.

I dislike this curler...it did its job and is nice to sleep in but the curls r too small for my taste..

I guess my pink one is better after all.

My hairstyle was wrecked cuz I did not have time anymore.

My bangs r still too longg..I should have cut it shorter.

After arriving at work, my hairclip broke..

The one with the black bow I like to wear on the back of my head.

And then I felt sick...bcuz of the weather I must have undercooled myself.

Was at the doc just now..going to stay these two days home.

Both caramel brown and autumn red are awesome. I have some staining on my neck tho but it will pass.

They send for each package a tweezer and lash glue (mascara) inclusive.

I have 5 each now😭

I ordered a bunch of hair accessories

Also these bows and flowers...kept it in the packaging now for organisation so far

My fav ones are not sold anymore😭

Some of the con is the lashes are always so damn short.

Or you order a mix which then just have a few good ones and the rest is trash🥲

And if you find long ones, they are fluffy and not sharp like you would need them for a dolly look.

What I love about...

Today I feel like writing haha I dunno...

I tried again continuing with my singapore posts but for some reason, uploading the pics just won't properly work..it's FRUSTRATING!!

But anyway...I feel like getting out of my depressed phase again..haha slowly.

I think what just bummers me is the lack of creativity I had for the past weeks and even months...I wear the same things, I do the same things, I don't plan...

That's actually the opposite of what I was trying to do this year..

So back up with the motivation.

It also helped trying to create two new fits matching my vibe as best as possible.

Loved that challenge.

In case u have missed it..my vibe was:

-slightly gothic

-retro

-girly&mature

-colors more in the black/pastel direction

My results:

I actually wanted to wear my black lolita blouse underneath but that day it was too cold!!

and the makeup I did (could never wear at work tbh haha)

And I realised: this is very close to larme style haha..

I could not open my larme mags rn because they are in boxes stored underneath my BUNCH OF BOOKS...but I could find pics online..and yep.

the vibe I was trying to achieve was pretty much a gothic larme xD

So I had a huge larme inspo kick going on and then I went on Natsumins blog and saw her amazing prisila wig that reminded me a lot of the hime and agejo vibe WHICH I ALSO LOVE.

I am at that point already where I stopped giving me labels but now I think it's important to give myself direction and the best way to do it is to try making a fundament and ask myself WHAT DO I LOVE?

WHAT DO I LOVE..about Larme

I really love the girly/retro vibes they have going on..

I am a huge fan of everything old-school and retro and they reflect a lot these 60s vibes but in a modern interpretation...

A lot of the outfits are modest, or can be made modest..

I am just older now and don't feel comfortable with super short skirts and dresses..

the combos are amazing.

It doesn't matter wether it's the layering or just the imagination to code certain pieces..

When it comes to terms of larme...you don't need certain brands..

It's all about the combo achieved.

It is girly, dolly but yet mature and in my opinion also ok to wear at work.

that makes the looks a good choice for me for every day wear.

They also wear darker shades of lipstick, or even red.

Those are my favourite colors for lips.

WHAT DO I LOVE..about Lolita

I am going to admit I am new to the scene.. Don't take me too serious here.

Also the amount of times I have worn lolita like seriously can be count on one hand.

Usually I wear a casual variation of it, or leave out the pettycoat etc.

However the more pieces I get the more I love it.

It started when I was a hime gyaru and decided to get some lolita dresses to code them as hime gyaru, so I was on lolita shops more often.

Same case like with larme: it is more on the modest side.

A lot of the dresses are around knee-length and have a retro vibe going on.

I love dresses and lolita is like...about wearing dresses.

And these dresses are ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECES.

The details, the print, the layers...you won't find that with normal clothings...ever!

I like to switch out vibes and not wear the same thing over and over again and that's possible with lolita as well...they have also different kind of themes going on.

Strawberry, lemon, bear, astrology...etc.

You have the ability to work on an outfit, find matching pieces and make it an art piece to wear.

lolita bags are like the most interesting things ever..

If they only fix the amount of space you have inside and make it bigger.

WHAT DO I LOVE..about Hime Gyaru

yes I make this seperate. 

Count me weird but I never see hime as gyaru like the other styles.

To me it is too far off the concept tbh.

No tan, no flashy long nails, no strong makeup, no sexiness etc.

I am not saying it is not gyaru, they do have the similiarity, but a different vibe in my opinion.

I love the hair! Honestly...Hime hair is like playing lego and switching and matching them differently!

Because of this they are actually LOW-MAINTENANCE...you just connect and combine different wigs and hair pieces..

You could be bald underneath and yet have different hairstyles..

The necklaces are a charm...I love pearls sm.

Jesus Diamante dresses are legendary..however I gave up fitting in them.

I don't want to squeeze myself into clothes that are not comfortable anymore..

The shoes are absolute fire..but I dislike mules..

The platform heels I had disintegrated too.

But I think I will get some random heels of ali and glue some flowers on them again to make my own again haha.

WHAT DO I LOVE..about Gyaru

Whenever I feel like being gyaru again, I feel so uncomfortable but when I don't wear it I miss it, so one time I was sitting there looking closer to what exactly I like about gyaru and here is the clue: I dislike the fashion, but like a lot of the rest.

For example I love the makeup techniques

This is something I have ditched for a while but I feel like going for a more dramatic look again..

I probably won't wear lower lashes but instead accentuate the bottom with eyeshadow and eyeliner.

I love long nails and a loooot of gems on them..

so gyaru nail art it is!

The deco lifestyle: Gals love to DIY the shit out of stuff!

I appreciate individuality and I love maximalist interior etc.

Gyaru lifestyle is so much fun!!

Collecting magazine, listening to eurobeat, watching para para (I still can't dance any I am sry), going shopping, coding different outfits..and having new booms every time.

Like, there is always something to explore!

As you can see...the fashion is like the least aspect I like about Gyaru, but the other fashion styles are too dominant to mix it with gyaru.

Larme is for example very soft in colors, Lolita is very dolly...

And mixing lolita with gyaru is pretty much hime gyaru again, which I personally find difficult to wear every day at work.

However I want to make new outfits soon and I felt like getting a base might be helpful.

I won't give myself labels anymore or whatever or try to fit in..

I just do what I want...
