We are having a national holiday today!

At first I promised my gals I would make a new meiku tut but I figured since I am styling up tomorrow for my aunts birthday anyway, I will skip it and make it tomorrow.

I am currently doing everything at the same time.

I scanned, read scans, read blogs, made an archive account, watched videos and have selftanner on lmaooo.

I was about to go to the shower but I just quickly want to post this.

I looked some of the gals music videos just now...I heard the songs ages ago but never the videos (I should have done that earlier) and I realised that gyaru is in full mode like it used to be and I didn't even notice.

Also because in the gaijin comm there is this huge misinfo that gyaru apparently is dead...it is not.

So, one thing you need to know about gyaru history is, that when it used to be big, obviously not everyone was friends.

Also it had a broad age range.

So depending on what group of gyaru you used to be in, the look of gyaru could vary.

Egg, ageha, ranzuki, popteen, Soul Sister,  etc.

Now it is more or less the same again.

Watch the videos, analyze their styles etc. and tell me, you don't see it?

Egg

the o.g. gyaru...but egg was and still will be a teenager magazine, hence the viewers are supposed to be teens. That also means they are more influenced by quirky, OTT styles..they have no jobs yet. Also within the song the text "idc what grown ups say" matches. Egg is not as natural, but playful in a sexy way you could say. 

Loalo

the more adult range...it reminds me a bit of ane ageha vibes but with egg/AV style. The focus is on tanning, partying/bars, vacationing and shopping. 

Nuts

Nuts was always more toned down tbh, but with a focus on being trendy and fashionista. It is still like that when you look the girls in the videos. I always look at nuts models as the basic girls of gyaru fashion haha.

Ganguro/Manba

Not an own magazine/group...but the yamanba/manba scene is also thrivinggg.

I probably forgot smth but I didn't mean to make an informative video or anything..just something I noticed earlier and wanted to comment on haha.

I personally count myself to LOALO haha..I am back to tanning more regularly again and although I canceled my contract with the salon (I can go until december) I might go later again..I am thinking about switching to the after work contract (past 5pm) that will be 2 years long...it would save me around 15€ per month...I am not going some other time anyway...the only thing that bothers me is being bound to a contract for 2 whole years lmao.

well...have to take a shower now.
