The past days were really interesting, so here a little recap haha.
So I had lessons in the morning.
I met my class and also had my first spin class.
Spin classes are beside the normal A1 classes.
I personally have the Food class but also Chinese songs.
Both are very intensive but the food class is easier now because I already have some vocab, however the chinese songs have looots of words I don't know..I actually think this lesson is more meant to emphasize on pronounciation than vocab. The teacher is working a lot with rythm and trying to speak very clearly.
My other chinese teacher is even playing games with us during lessons, which is super funny.
For example she was playing blooklet with us, where you scan a code and can play together on your phone, it was practicing hanzi and inbetween the questions you had to open a treasure and inside were different things like 50% of your points are gone or next question you get double amount of points.
Even though I was super fast, I kept clicking on the wrong treasures and lose my points, so in the end I was like the 5th or something.
The teacher has also shown us the result of the questions and I was the best in class.
I was practicing chinese on my app called ChineseSkill and I turned off pinyin, so I was quite fast reading it and had like 90%...one of my classmates turned around so fast like "90%??????"xDD
during lunch I still had like a sandwich packed from my host so I did not go anywhere to eat and right at the door I met another student who arrived on the same day like me and we both decided to go to the park near the school.
We didn't have enough time to like see everything but it was calming enough to walk around a bit.
after afternoon lessons I got spontaneously invited to join the others to go have dinner together and we went to hawkers closeby.
Singapore is has sooo many restaurants and bars and shops and whatever.
So I let my classmate choose something from me and he has chosen the Satay for me!
Beef and chicken yummy...and the peanut sauce is also amazing.
I looove peanut sauce so his judgement (even without knowing me) was like on point haha.
They wanted to go to another bar after that and at first I didn't know wether to joiiin or noot but thought I will go with them first and can still decide afterwards.
It wasn't really my vibe so I left with another student to go back to the MRT and home.
After I got back in my suburb, I wanted to get a snack or something and got reminded of the other mall my host has shown me on sunday.
I wasn't sure if I was correct because it looked so different from last time?? xD
I texted my host and she replied that she was also there, so we met up.
She got me a new mattress and pillow (which are so much more comfortable sleeping on now) and has shown me some stops to get something.
I have chosen to get a bao.
not a pretty picture I know haha...
It was sooo good!!
My host mom has also shown me another thing to try but I forgot the name of it.
It looks a little bit like youtiao but with a brown sugar filling?
I have to ask her how it was called.
On wednesday I had earlier my lessons and went to the Clarke mall across the street for lunch.
I walked around a bit and saw they had a daiso (first time in a daiso yayy) but decided to go there after school because lunch break is very short.
I went to a japanese restaurant.
Yay first selfie xD
I then headed back to school.
After my lessons I quickly went to daiso to get travel-sized bottles for my weekend trip to malaysia..
I will only take a small bag and I don't want having to take big bottles with me.
I then went towards Somerset and Orchard road.
I tried taking a picture of this pink car...the color was so damn beautiful T.T
At this point I was convinced Singapore is just 99% shopping malls..they are everywhere, in every suburb and they are all linked to each other and so on...like you can't escape the malls here xD
My host has shown a rooftop at another destination so I went there after that.
The surroundings had a whole other vibe, although I have to admit I did not know where I was xD
I somehow did not find it!!
Like google maps would direct me in the worst directions...everything was so weird and it kept taking me to a point where a different mall was??
It was sooo damn hot and I got sick, I needed something to drink.
This is the drink I have chosen but I was soo distracted that I didn't take a pic of my actual drink T.T
I felt really really sick and needed to leave and find the mrt back home.
On my way out a staff said I look like a barbie doll T.T <3
I wanted to meet up at 9 with the others but didn't feel good from all the walking.
However during my veeery long train ride I got better and looked at the time deciding I could make it but I definitely needed to take a shower first.
I just felt disgusting and inhumane.
so quickly changed and went back to town to a bar.
I randomly chose a drink (sry camera did not want to focus) because they didn't show any ingredients on the card xD
In the beginning it was very sweet but I think I drank the sirup first because in the end it tasted like pure alcohol mixed with water lmao.
I was like "huh, no alcohol?" in the beginning xD
I was surprised I finished...it was pure pure alcohol in the end haha
I chatted with the others and all but wasn't staying for long and then headed home.
When I arrived back, I wanted to talk a bit with my host mom who prepared some chicken for me because I haven't eaten yet in the whole stress?
She is so nice and lovely, I really enjoy the talks with her!
We talked until like 1 am or something T.T
That's so crazy how time passed..I quickly went to take a quick shower again...I felt dirty again.
Like all the people look like it is nothing to them and I constantly feel like a pig xD
My body is not made for humid weather like this! although it gets used to it a bit.
It was heavily raining in the morning but it was also refreshing tbh haha
But when I got out of the mrt it was super shiny again lmao
This would happen here quite often haha.
At school I also had my first voluntarily activity which was beginner kung fu classes!
It was so much fun and we sillied around a bit haha.
After 5pm my lessons were done and I headed back home but decided to quickly go into the mall again.
Yesterday I was searching for korean skincare because my oil-based cleanser is running out but didn't find what I was looking for.
Quite some shops have k-skincare but not what I needed.
The products here cost almost twice as much than in germany! woah.
Here I also didn't find the brands I liked but oil-based cleansers that I am looking for so I went for this one instead.
I did not quite understand the difference between deep oil cleanser and white oil cleanser?
I opted for this one now.
I have never tried japanese skincare before so why not?
Now I need to pack my bag and also go showering and I might have some time left to revision the stuff I have learned so far.
It's so great that you have such a caring host family. <3
返信削除Does the environment feel very humid? I've never been there and only know it's usually hot there XD
I wouldn't mind so many shopping malls XD
How are you liking your classes?
it's very very humid..I always look like I am taken straight out of an oily pan. My classes are also very fun too.
