Day 6: Travel to Malaysia

The past days have been stressful my goshh..

So I hope I can still remember some things about my trip to tell you!

I will split this up, so it's smaller posts than one huge one...

We left early in the morning for the flight..

I was early early, like tooo early.

I was so afraid to be too late with the traffic and so on...it was also the first time I ordered a grab (like uber for singapore) and I wasn't sure if it would work out and so on.

The weather was a little bit better than in singapore because it's less humid and a little bit more windy.

The hotel was very clean but some appliances kept breaking and so on, like some other students cards didn't work at all, our aircon died the last day, etc....

The security in malaysian buildings is crazy.
For example you can't go and use the lift in buildings..
We had to scan our card to be able to push the buttons and we were also only able to push the level we needed to go to (and first level&reception).
At the first day I didn't know how well this worked because I accidentally went in without a card and then got trapped inside.
I couldn't open the doors anymore without a card and had to call someone.

After we arrived at the hotel we immediately left again to grab some food.

We went to a "poodle" restaurant nearby.

There I wanted to try the dish Nasi Lemak.

The sauce was so damn delicious and the seaweed fish sooo good!!

We had some trouble paying because we had to spend at least 50 ringit to be able to pay with visa and since we didn't stop at a money exchange, nobody at my table had cash.

Our guide from the school somehow was confused why we didn't have some but at the same time didn't tell us we had to exchange before going there and we had like no choice to choose where we eat?

Well anyway, we solved it that I would pay for everyone and they paid me back via paypal or Singadollar cash.

Then we went to Penang hill with our grab. We splitted up into three groups there.

Our driver almost ran over one of the security guys working there!!

It was so crazy, he ran off with his car...someone walked closer and made a picture of the license plate, I couldn't help but think of "oh, he would fit in germany" lmao.

The view at the hill is amazing!!

There were cats, dogs and monkeys just roaming around..

there was also a smaller temple but I didn't went inside now that I think of it, idk why tho.
Maybe it wasn't possible..I honestly forgot.

Down the hill there was a merch shop, the prices there in malaysia are mad cheap...MAAAD CHEAP.
Like everything feels like it's a gift when buying T.T

I took a little magnet as a souvenir and it was 0,58€!!

such thing would cost at least 5-10€ in Germany...def!

Afterwards we went to get some street food.

Tbh I didn't like it xD

Arthurs Satay was also burnt...idk, it did not convince me at all.

After we went back to the hotel we wanted to go to the pool because the receptionist told us it would be open until 10pm. We went in and some employee came and told us it was only open until 8pm.

After Arthur told him what the receptionist said, he went to the telephone but didn't catch anyone and he was like "if it's only you, go...until 10pm" xD

Because of the safety glasses I wasn't able to catch the view right but it was so good.

I went back to my room but wasn't tired at all and met with Arthur again to have a little chat.

I think I went to sleep around 1-2am-ish??
