plans for furniture

 Heyya,..

so yapping post.

Like I said, I want to make my own apartment more lively and here are some of my ideas.

Since a long time I have been eyeing some chairs from Venjakob that I find super super comfy to sit in.

However they are super expensive and I had trouble finding a color I like.

There is only one combo I found quite pretty on green but then again, these chairs are like massive..

I do not have the space.

I have been moving around my own chairs to check size and distance and whatever and thought about switching to the variation without the armrests.

But it just doesn't seem the same and the table I wanted to choose is just so...small?

I chose this table because of the measurements but in the combination with the big chairs it might look...off?
Also it is super hard to find a wood I like, because nothing really matches.
I have like a bunch of different wood colors, I don't need more.

Now listen...I found a cheaper option online.
This table is 120cm and can be pulled open to 160cm.
From the perspective of the kitchen I tried matching the wood to my bookshelves.
However the other way around, is my black kitchen and next to it is my piano which has *drumroll*: black wood! Just like this.

Instead of making everything colorful and throw a green in...I might try to keep it in the same color "category".
As much as I know myself, I will make my bed pink with the bedsheets...
or a combo of black and pink.
The couch in the kitchen is bordeaux-red.
Red and pink...get it?
Some cream from the chimney and black from kitchen and piano and soon maybe...the table.
Then it's more...coherent.

But now you might say: "But Lynn, what about the measurements?".
Well, this table and the 4 chairs is LESS than 1/3rd of the price of Venjakob.
I will just move them around and find out how to place them.
With an expensive order, everything must be 100% and I need to dig super deep in my wallet for the next few years. Here I would be willing to make compromises.

And...a little thought for more.
I thought about having 2 extra chairs but put it where???

And I found this:
two of these -> in my nail studio.
The pinks are not 100% matching but doesn't matter too much, since they are also different fabrics.
If I ever need them like once a year for dining I can take them from there.
The beige clam chair looks cozy there in my studio but it is way too big.
My mum almost threw my desk over twice because she couldn't stand up properly.
I will put the chair in the corner where my mirror is right now.
The mirror will be gone anyway.
Until I don't need the corner, it will just have a seating space.

A little throwback to my chill zone in the living room.

This is the clam chair I was talking about.
I really really liked having something there.
Now there is just so much emptiness and my idea is to put there a reading place.
There are a few reading lamps that you can charge and then clip onto the shelf, so I have lighting there and a seating place right next to it.

I have two options right now.

Option nr.1:

This lovely thing.
It is actually meant for seniors but who cares.
It has a motor to put the feet up and the back can go down but probably won't be able to use that much because of the space.
AND what interests me even more: it has heating in the seat.
And also massage which is cool too BUT THE HEATING.
Imagine winter, no internet in my apartment cuz nothing works right, next to the chimney, reading a book in a cozy HEATED chair with a blanket.
AWESOME.
And it surprised me but according to the measurements..it can fit in this space???
It looks so huge on the pic..
From the chimney, diagonally to the balcony door (completely opened) it is 80+cm.
This chair is 80,5cm wide, so even if it needs a couple cm more, I just open the balcony door a little bit less...which is totally doable, I never have it 100% open anyway.
It has a frottee fabric which sounds a bit weird to me and with the beige it's a bit difficult since the bed and the chimney is beige...so beige overload in one corner.
I might be able to put a pillow there or smth idk.

Option nr.2:

This sleeping chair.
I screenshotted the grey now but it also exists in beige, I am not in love with cord that much but then I have a different fabric and it could match in the corner.
I can save space, when being used just pull out the feet thing and I could move the whole chair more to the side and open it completely for someone to sleep in.
But then again, nobody comes over for sleepover.
What I like is the board for the cup on the side, very handy.
At the same time though, I don't drink while reading (busy holding book).
It said 93cm wide but if I look correctly, it means WITH the board..

Now writing all this it seems like I already decided with a chair.
They are the same price, so basically...doesn't matter which one it will be.
I also need a carpet again in front of the chimney and I need to beg my dad to fix the chimney, which he has promised like a year ago.
I am not sure if I ever mentioned in one of my posts but I almost put my apartment on fire.
The chimney was dusted in the back and when turning it on it burned and melted a cable..
This thing was so heavy I almost couldn't move it to turn off the fire.
That was an insane moment.
Since then it sadly had only been decoration :(

I also looked for a new laundry machine and I found one with a dryer included.
Even though the whole program will be much longer..if I think how much time and space I would save with this...I mean currently my whole laundry "schedule" is around the factor, that I have to dry it on a racket...in winter it sometimes takes like a whole week.
I mean, you can kinda tell from my outfit pics but that racket was literally part of my whole furniture.
It was open 24/7 and technically still would be but now it's summer and I dry my clothes on the balcony, where they are luckily dry within a day.
My bedroom is a studio now..no way I will be drying my clothes there but with all the changes around my living space, there won't be much space either.
I desperately need a dryer I guess.

I will be planning my balcony next year but I have some ideas already what I will do but that might change again anyway haha.

I will check at work for the chairs again from venjakob, how much the price would be without the armrests...are they comfortable...etc. and also look for a different fabric.
Hopefully they have something for my new idea.
Last time I scanned more for green (I was too fixed on having green chairs).
I took like all the extra stuff which made them more expensive than they have to be...so maybe with the other table the price will be more...doable?
