Heyya Bunnies!
After seeing Natsumi's gyaru card, I wanted to do the same but was insecure about it since I didn't really know what to write in it but after seeing others making one too..I just try hehe
This took WAY too long to finish...I am sorry
Your Nickname/Gyaru/Blogger name: Lynn/Rinmero
Birthday: 18th of August 1999
Zodiac Sign/Blood Type: Leo...I seriously have no idea what my bloodtype is lol
Your Style: Hime, Himekaji, Agejo.... smth in this direction but I want to create more outfits that fit to other substyles..
Fav Style: Hime! but tbh anything that's feminine, cute and pink will work.
Fav Era/Year: 2006 until hmm 2012/2013 maybe?? The years before were too boring for my taste but the style afterwards is too modern, slowly losing it's gal touch as well...It was the years I was a kid and "always wanted to wear clothes like this", that's probably why I connect with these years most. It's the inner kid that wants to finally live it's dream haha
Top 5 Jap Gyaru models: Very difficult question! I never were a person-oriented person. I never had a connection with celebrities/bands either. But I guess the gyarus that shaped me most during my years were Manya, Sakurina and Himena.
Manya was the first gal that I loved looking at. At that time, I didn't know I wanna be gyaru someday, neither knew what exactly gyaru was.
Sakurina was my first gyaru inspiration. I always had troubles "finding" a style and seeing her rocking absolutely everything inspired me to just go ahead and do what I like.
She, shaped, my, style. Himena was my No.1 gyaru when I started to find out what styles I liked most. I love every outfit from her. I am sad to see that she changed that much. She stopped being my rolemodel eventually.
My current influences are.... Keiko
I see her in every hime corner of magazines rn and I just love everything she is wearing..
(which is like 99% JD)
and Riho
At first I was like "MEH...boring"...but now I see her in a different way.
I always were a sucker for dark hair (black and straight actually), which is the opposite of gyaru...
Whereas HER...is wearing dark hair and mostly straight as well...she doesn't even have cute bangs and still looks very pretty and gal..
So she became an inspo to me eventually...even though her coords aren't my style.
Fav Magazine: Ageha and I just get to know Rose, which is very cool as well!
I def need moreeee <33
Top 5 Brands: Liz Lisa, Ma*rs, Jesus Diamante, Tralala, BoBon21
Even tho I haven't got anything from bobon21 for such a long time but my all-time fav dress is from it.
I love looking at JD, it will always be my fav inspo but it's dresses are super tight and small. I ordered a couple ones and only one fit so far which makes me very sad. Also, they are hella expensive.
Top 5 Inspo Coords: (not your coords but of other gyarus)
I love seeing hime coords in "unusual" colors...I especially love how the red items were put into this coord with a typical pinkish JD-dress..
The first time I saw this, I was like "WOW"!
denim was never really my first choice but the hime outfit with the pink denim jacket looks so pretty!!!
One of my all-time favourite dresses...it's just the way you look at this picture and it screams "princess" at you!
Hime isn't really a style for pants, so I loved seeing Himena rocking a pants-coord and still managing to make it look hime. I in fact, have two types of pants that could fit into a hime-like style and I love to see it is possible.
I had to add this one, because whenever I see this pic I am in awe. It looks so summery, feminine and beautiful and in the same time it's not "overloaded", so I think even on days where you don't want to attract too much attention, this is a very hime look.
Top 5 Your Coords: I am not taking many pics of my coords, so another difficult question...I went through my album and those are the ones I found:
this is one of the latest. I didn't like how my hair and make looked that day but it still loks fine I guess..
my most favourite outfits are from my time in Nuremberg. It was perfect weather for the season...even tho it was cold and rainy it was still managable to create great fits!! Even though I was a lil dissappointed in me that I didn't bring my huge exte with me...I thought I wouldn't need them.
not a 100% hime but it's a more casual fit that I enjoyed a lot. Beside my マーズ top and my JD necklace, nothing is gyaru. It's all off-brand. I think it's a great example to show that you don't need too much of brands to be gal.
Of all my favourite nuremberg fits, this one is my fav. That day we got so many compliments and ppl who wanted to take pics with us. Some kids even told us "they want to be like us". That's too cuute. And I don't even like kids😭
that's an old one. I was just starting with hime and didn't have many exte..also it's unusual for a hime to wear pants, this is my try to wearing pants as a hime, but imagine I would have hime hair with this coord? It would have looked perff...also my tan used to be INSANE🙈🙈
Top 5 Fashion/Must-Have Items:
1.Safety pants
I would die without them. I always need them under my skirts.
2.Different types of tights and socks.
That way I am able to wear the same clothes throughout the whole year
3.Hair accessories
Especially hair clips, I always wear them. I can't have boring hair. It might not be styled but it needs a rose or some pearls or whatever in it.
4.Necklace
The same with necklaces...it's my favourite type of jewelry. Since most or all of my tops have cleavage. I have wide shoulders, so having a free throat or short hair makes me look wider. Necklaces cover that up very well. I remember one time I forgot to put my necklace on for work and the whole day I felt so naked xDDD
5. Exte
I can't believe for how long I used to deny the use of it. I am still a hair freak who wants to have naturally rapunsel hair but exte really changes your hair game.
Top 5 Gyaru Goals:
Hmm, I am lucky that I kinda achieved many goals that I set myself years ago and since I am not sure what I want to "look" like today anyways, I don't really now.
Learning para para
I feel dumb at this point. Like, how do you learn this?
Having hair that I like
Either my hair is too natural, too bright, too short, too long. Whatever I do with them, I hate them haha. SO IT WOULD BE MY GOAL to have hair that I finally like haha. But that day will probably never come, I always need to do something to them.
Learning japanese
I am trying to incorporate japanese into my daily life but I have no discipline, I am mad at myself.
Having a gyaru apartment
I aaammm currently working on that. I won't move out until september but I am getting slowly the stuff I need for it. Still can't decide on how I want to deco it, so many ideas and such a small apartment haha.
shoes?
not really a gyaru goal but I need to sort out my shoes. I have a bunch I am not using and probably never will. I have to stop buying heels. Probably because of corona, I am not going anywhere, I don't wear heels...so it makes no sense buying that much? I need to stop and finally get shoes that I wear or whatever. lol.
Top 5 Gyaru Achievements:
1.Makeup
I could say I am getting "fluent" in my makeup. The natural makeups I do today used to be the type of makeups that were "extreme" back in the days. 60 minute makeups became 20 minutes. Often I want to make something natural to save time and still manage to keep the gal-look. I am confident about that progress.
2.Clothes
I have one wardrobe. It's my gyaru wardrobe. I wear gyaru casually every day I am going out (without work uniform).
3.Magazines
I am still getting more but I am glad I did the step on getting some. I never wanted to pay 10€-shipping on a 5€ product but now I am reeallly happy about it. It's definitely worth it. Those magazines helped me and inspired me so much more than Pinterest or Instagram ever could. Also I think it helps a lot to see what times each pictures or outfits come from.
4.Hair
Lol, this is a goal and achievement at the same time. I am happy, that I am slowly figuring out how to style my hair to look great. I haven't quite found something that I like most and can wear every day BUT I am very proud of the looks I did the past months.
5.Personality
I remember the times I was scared wearing a Liz Lisa skirt in public (without anything else, makeup, hair, etc). Nowadays it's such a natural thing for me to wear whatever the hell I want. I used to be nervous about talking the things I like and now I proudly tell everyone. I worked years on my mentality and can finally say, I am glad I am alive and happy about who I am as a person.
There is always room for improvement and I want to get better every day.
Last 5 Gyaru gets:
Ma*rs shorts that I am using as PJ now..
Rose Vol.1...it's not as much hime in it than the second one but I guess that's just because of the progress...So I am curious about the third issue, if it's more hime than the second if they gradually "upgrade" the content..
My MagicalHarts usamimi
Another ageha issue..
my princess makeup book..
5 items from your Gyaru Wishlist:
Only...5??? I am not capable of doing this..
So here are 5 of the latest items I added to my wishlist..
Lizmelo Dress
Candy Rain Poncho
Liz Lisa Bolero
Offbrand? Dress
Liz Lisa Dress
I have just TOO many items I want...
Suggestions for a beginner gyaru:
Maybe some might disagreee but these are my tips
1.Research
There are so many misinformations out there, question everything. When I started gyaru there where already false statements but nowadays I feel like it has never been worse. Seeing false information spread as fact on TikTok or elsewhere makes me mad. Ask your fellow gals who are into it for a longer time. Sometimes also the language barrier is keeping you from so many infos...it's crazy.
2.Seperate Gyaru from other styles
Yes, you can wear gyaru and lolita. Yes, you can be gyaru if you have been alt so far. I also like to get influenced by alt-style or makeup but nowadays both get mixed up so much. Influenced styles get tagged as gyaru even if they are not and so on. Please, see gyaru as what it is and seperate it from the other alt-styles. The reason I left Sekai no Gyarusa is that it's full of other styles which have nothing to do with gyaru and started getting really annoying. Mixing styles, experimenting and trying other styles is fine but I think most can agree that we are sick of seeing "normal people" or "E-girls" under the gyaru tag. It's not. End of discussion.
3.Gyaru is a rebellious style
I am confused about teengals being "scared" of their parents in that way. Like, that's the point? Until today my parents still make negative statements of my looks and I am an adult lol. "Your nails look like from a witch. You destroyed your hair bleaching it. Stop dying your hair all the time. Your makeup is unnatural. You look like a doll. Do you really want to go out looking like this?". Do it anyways lol.
4.Something that looks cool might not be yours
I was dying to be like those 96gal I've seen on Pinterest. Until today, I do not feel comfortable in it. Manba, or whatever. I like to wear it sometimes but it is not my style. That's it. But you won't know if you don't try. I remember when I started gyaru I said "Eww, hime is ugly. I would never wear something like this". Well,....LOLOLOLOL It became one of my top 1 inspirations today.
5.Do not pressure yourself into being gyaru
Everyone knows that feeling of "not being gal enough" stop right there and tell your brain to stfu. Everyone will agree, pressuring yourself into "looking like something" is just as bad as pressuring yourself to be one of the "normal pretty people". Your style will evolve, it will change and get better naturally...just stick to the things you enjoy and experiment with it. You might suck at it first but it's never about being perfect, it's about having fun being yourself. Give yourself time.
I am finally done...thanks for listening to my babble..
This card is so cuteeeee! And you're a Leo too LOOOL we should really do a gyarusa with only Leo people LMAO 😂😂 I loved all the inspo you posted (Himenaaaa💕💕) and your coords, I especially love the first and third one!!
