Heyya Bunnies!

With my oldschool phone I am rllly hyper about oldschool stuff...

which doesn't really make sense because my phone is from 2011...

however I wanted to start with 2006 but since there are rarely anything on the www and most of my oldschool stuff is really from 2007 I kinda slipped into that year.

with that being said I wanted to surround myself with 2007 inspo, including the music.

I am kinda sad about not having iconic songs like those from the pussycat dolls in this list, but I wanted to be as accurate as possible and only include songs published in 2007... (and songs like don't cha, beep or wait a minute are from 2005/2006).

which was really hard btw because different sources claimed different dates.

I went more towards trusting google in this point.

 Also I apologize in advance for the amount of german songs here..

This is the time I grew up in and lots of these songs I recognize from my childhood so I WANTED to include them so bad...but maybe you also enjoy listening to new songs..

I tried looking up about songs that were popular in japan as well but turned out this was more difficult than expected.

I didn't find out about her until reading my poshh! magazine from november 2007..

I love how natural her voice sounds...nowadays everyone sounds the same tbh

So here is a german artist. She used to be the girlfriend from rapper sido.

I didnt know much about them but ultimately also didn't care (I was 7 years old after all lol)

But I loved the girl power energy of this song so much!!

Another german artist. I was SUCH A BIG FAN...I remember listening to her songs every single day nonstop. Most of her songs are recreations of other songs tho..

Well, I don't mind...she added her girly glamour to it haha.

Another german rapper...but this time an underground one...

I used to love underground rappers...their texts and music were so underrated.

Kat Deluna

another underrated artist...as far as I know she is a hispanic living in america..

I loved her song so so so much. Also the outfit with the green hoody in the first video? So iconic, I always imagined myself wearing it :(

Ciara

I can't say much about her. I only remember beeing the only damn person knowing her..as far as I remember she wasn't really known here in germany.

Kumi Koda

She is a big term in gyaru history, so of course I could not miss out on checking her out.

Namie Amuro

Another big term under the gyaru umbrella...not to forget she had such an impact that gals in japan made inspiration from her a whole substyle lmao.

Rihanna

Umbrella and Please don't stop the music are two songs, we even Gen Z, still play at parties nowadays..I had to include them...also I remember her making the bob hairstyle super popular.

Basshunter

I don't know about America, but in Europe...everyone knows..

There is even a german parody of that song about the "fat anna eating kebab in a boat"..which I think, at least here in germany, is almost even more known than the original song lol.

Culcha Candela

Again, Germany speaking. The songs from Culcha Candela are so iconic they still get played everywhere. These two are my most favourite and those who left the biggest impression on me.

Especially the fashion from "Ey DJ"...I cannot lie, I wanted to be in this music video so bad as a kid.

Monrose

Another look to germany. These three ladies might be singing in english but they are a german band and I remember their song got used as a theme song for "Germanys Next Topmodel" including model Heidi Klum as a host. I also remember a couple years ago I found out the same song got dubbed by the korean band f(x) published in 2011.

Cascada

I had to look up to not make false statements: I remember Cascada being german and I am right. If you were interested in Nightcore music you might have heard her song sometime.

Fergie

As much I wished I could include iconic PCD in this post, I am glad I could include Fergie bcuz honestly....what's a y2k post without Fergie or the black eyed peas?

and last two songs are german. the first one is sido, since I already talked about him earlier. He was known for his silver skullmask

and this iconic song, which was waaaay to inappropriate to listen to as a 7 year old lmaoo...

(which also has a german parody by Bangbros but regarding that both songs are about "asses" I count both as trollsongs lmao)

Like I said, some of my research might be wrong..it was really tricky, different sources claimed different dates and so on...in the end it doesn't rly matter which year exactly smth got published...I might just as well make a second post, cuz I really wanna post about pcd lmao.
