Hellow!
Since I am currently not posting much, here a lil yappy post haha.
I am planning to make a new nail design this sunday (or monday idk).
but since I was trying out using glue for rhinestones I thought I should show how good it worked.
so here is the design again after approx.~3 weeks I think it was?
Most stones are still on...those which fell of first were applied on "stress" points.
Here for example, I always wipe on this part of the surface of the nail (bad habit)..but they did not fall off after like ...2 weeks? Also important to see is, that the bottom of the stone is still on.
-> this tells me that the application itself was sturdy but the rhinestone probably had a bad quality, so the bottom did not stick to the whole stone.
You also see the red stone of the cluster that I got from shein peeled off.
That did not happen to any of the other stones, just this exact color.
In general these cluster stones are so bad, I will definitely not order them again.
the first to fall off were here on the sides -> they are exactly on the edge: stress point!
Here you can see on this nail why you cannot use solid gel for rhinestones (on top the two stones that fell off).
The bottom is too flat, it cannot attach properly on the solid.
but I also want to say that this was the first time my "checkered" lines looked soo good!
I am getting the hang of it, I guess.
the last to fall off are the red stones.
I had to apply multiple within a short time frame.
Maybe it is really the quality of the stones, the bottoms also still stick here.
I could also believe that maybe it isn't attached properly because the glue was already too dry and I was too slow?
Everything possible haha.
BUT! They just started to fall off the past few days.
Since I already know I will put on a new design, I was more reckless with my nails and didn't "protect" the style much anymore I have to admit.
I just watched another video of bomb nails on YT.
the last time she painted colored gel on a 3d flower it looked so ugly, I was like "nooo!".
But here it looks super pretty with the cat gel, so maybe glitter/cat gel is a cool idea for a 3d flower.
I also feel like doing one again after...months of not sculpting haha.
These nails actually look so nice!
Especially the middle finger with the foil..
I haven't done foil in a while.
I currently plan on using royal blue for the new design but I haven't checked my inventory yet.
I need to see what I have to know what I could do.
For now:
1.foils
2.sculpting
maybe..
xoxo rinmero
